The year 2024 is coming to an end, and at Ruta del Vino Almansa we wanted to make a summary of the different promotional actions we have had during this year throughout our country:
We return to FITUR for a second year
Ruta del Vino Almansa returned for the second year to FITUR at the end of January, the leading trade fair for tourism professionals. During this fair it took the opportunity to present its offer of wine tourism packages and experiences at the stand of the Castilla-La Mancha Wine Routes.
FINE and the visit of international tour operators
In March we also returned to FINE, the International Wine Tourism Fair held in Valladolid. In this event we were also in the stand of Castilla-La Mancha together with the rest of the Wine Routes of the region.
This fair served, in addition to presenting our wine tourism offer, to hold meetings with different tour operators both nationally and internationally, which days later would come to our town to learn and enjoy firsthand our heritage, history and gastronomy.
We celebrate the first edition of Enofest
On May 17 and 18 it was the turn of Enofest in Almansa. This event was a series of experiences that took place within the framework of the six Wine Routes of Castilla-La Mancha, combining food and wine and musical experiences.
On the first day, attendees enjoyed a cocktail dinner and a concert by the artist Coti in the gardens of the Almansa Town Hall. The following day, they had the opportunity to visit different wineries that are members of the Almansa Wine Route, concluding with a tasting of wines from each winery.
We received the visit of several journalists
In June, in collaboration with ACEVIN and Wine Routes of Spain, we had the visit of a group of journalists from leading national media. During a weekend, they were able to visit the different tourist, gastronomic and wine attractions of the Almansa Wine Route, touring the municipalities of Almansa, Alpera and Higueruela.
The group of journalists included José María de Pablo, from National Geographic magazine; Pepa García, from Etherea Magazines; César Justrel, journalist from ABC Viajes; and Óscar Checa, from ACEVIN-Rutas del Vino de España and collaborator with Radio Nacional de España.
XXXI ACEVIN General Assembly
In June we were also present at the new edition of the General Assembly of the Spanish Association of Wine Cities, which took place in Cambados (Pontevedra). There we shared, along with other representatives of other routes, different ideas and proposals to continue growing in the Almansa Wine Route.
Summer Tastings: Heritage and Flavor on the Almansa Wine Route
During the summer months we were doing different tastings with the DO Almansa in the different towns of Almansa, Alpera and Higueruela. Each tasting consisted of a guided tour of the most representative places of each town and ended with a tasting of wines from the DO Almansa.
Castilla-La Mancha: The destiny of wonders
In September, together with Turismo Castilla-La Mancha, we were on the Malvarrosa Beach promenade (Valencia), promoting our wine route in the trailer of “El Destino de las maravillas”, which visited squares and promenades of 21 towns and beach cities during 41 days.
I Wine Tourism Conference at the University of Alicante
In October, our manager, Rocío Jimenez, attended the I Jornadas de Enoturismo at the University of Alicante, where we had the opportunity to give a talk in which our wine route was presented to all attendees.
Visit of a group of influencers
To finish the promotional actions of the Almansa Wine Route, in November we received a group of influencers from the gastronomy, leisure and travel sectors who enjoyed a weekend of wine tourism in Almansa, Higueruela and Alpera.
The group of influencers was able to get to know all the tourist attractions of our region, taste a selection of wines from our DO Almansa and enjoy the wide gastronomy of La Mancha in reference restaurants.
Conclusions
In this first year in which Ruta del Vino Almansa has carried out the different promotional actions officially belonging to the Wine Routes of Spain, we close a 2024 fulfilling the objectives set, making ourselves known in new places and putting in value the tourist wealth of our region and the quality of our wines with DO Almansa seal.
