Almansa Wine Route presents its new image and website at FITUR 2023

On January 22, as a starting point in the promotional activities for Albacete’s day at FITUR, the new image and website of the Almansa Wine Route was presented at the Castilla La Mancha stand, under the slogan “Discover, Feel, Live”.

At the presentation ceremony at the Castilla-La Mancha stand, the attendees were able to learn first-hand the details of this project on which the management and associates have been working for several years and which represents the starting point in the promotion of the enormous wine tourism potential of the region.

Adolfo Cano, president of the Almansa Wine Route, explained the importance of having this project, with the aim of promoting the heritage, the great gastronomic offer and its wonderful wines. We have a grape variety, garnacha tintorera, which makes our wines unique, with great color and potential”. Adolfo Cano also highlighted the fact that this route brings “an innovative tourist offer that fits perfectly with the trend of the sector”.

On the website of the Almansa Wine Route all the companies present at the event will be detailed, as well as all the tourist promotion packages of our region with wineries of the region. Denomination of Origin Almansa, restaurants, accommodation, stores and leisure and cultural activities, all of which are part of the Almansa Wine Route.

The presentation ceremony was also attended by various representatives of public institutions in the region that have shown their support for the development of this project, which undoubtedly represents a boost to tourism in the region. “We have to believe in the excellent products that are in our land, the creation of this new route is an opportunity to know more and better, is an added attraction for the province” said President of the Provincial Council of Albacete, Santiago Cabañero.

Then, Pedro Antonio Ruiz, provincial delegate of the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha said “Today we present the image of this new Wine Route as a result of the efforts of all the producers and companies that make it up and offer a quality wine tourism experience”. We were also accompanied at this event by the municipalities participating in the route: Almansa, Alpera, Higueruela and Hoya Gonzalo, as well as representatives of the Association for the Development of the Monte Ibérico-Corredor de Almansa Region.

After the official presentation, a showcooking paired with wines from the Designation of Origin Almansa and made by the chef Antonio Gonzalez, owner of the Restaurant +IDEAS of Higueruela, one of the companies associated with the route was launched. The showcooking was a sample of typical La Mancha dishes with that special touch and avant-garde, as a representation of the excellent and increasingly recognized gastronomy that we have in our region.

Parallel to the activities, all the routes that are in the province of Albacete: La Mancha, La Manchuela, Jumilla, Caminos del Azafrán and now Almansa, were representing the province at the information point of the Routes of Castilla La Mancha. Albacete is one of the provinces with more integrated routes and, in the case of the new Almansa route, with a uniprovincial character. This union reinforces the sense of wine tourism in our area and opens bridges to work together in the search for opportunities to promote our wine tourism experiences as a power of territorial development.

In the coming months it is expected that the official certification of the route can be achieved, from which it is expected to start working on the first visit packages to consolidate the Almansa Wine Route.
