After 7 generations of winemakers, the Rodríguez de Vera family decided in 2010 to take the leap to winemaking, using the most symbolic vineyards located in Finca Casalta.
Finca Casalta is an extension of about 500 hectares of which 20 hectares are dedicated to vine cultivation. A total of 7 grape varieties are currently grown on the estate: the native Garnacha tintorera and Monastrell; and the foreign varieties Merlot, Petit verdot, Chardonnay and Pinot noir.
The facilities, designed externally in the image and likeness of a hermitage, receive only grapes harvested by hand from the vineyards owned by the family. All the facilities are designed to give the most respectful treatment to the raw material, from its 5,000-liter stainless steel tank room, to its room with more than 100 barrels (85% French oak and 15% American oak), where the wines undergo malolactic fermentation and subsequent aging.
