The Almansa Wine Route renews its certification with ACEVIN and continues as an official member of Wine Routes of Spain

The Almansa Wine Route has officially renewed its certification as a member of Wine Routes of Spain, after successfully passing the audit carried out by ACEVIN (Spanish Association of Wine Cities) last September. This recognition reaffirms the destination’s consolidation as a national wine tourism benchmark and highlights the coordinated work of all the people, companies and institutions that make up the Almansa Wine Route.

Commitment of partners to remain officially certified

During the assessment, the audit team visited 20 partner establishments, all the wineries and the new firms that had recently joined the Almansa Wine Route. These visits enabled them to analyse the quality of service, visitor care, accessibility, suitability of facilities and consistency of the destination as a wine tourism product of Wine Routes of Spain.

The audit highlighted the commitment of the partners, the progress made in professionalising the destination and the expansion of the wine tourism offering, all of which are essential for maintaining the seal of quality that certifies membership of Wine Routes of Spain, a distinction only awarded to destinations that meet high standards of quality and management.

A key renovation to strengthen the route as a wine tourism destination

The renewal not only validates the Almansa Wine Route’s working model, but also opens up new opportunities for promotion, visibility and collaboration at the national level in the coming years. This renewal of the certificate as a Wine Route of Spain provides strategic support that facilitates participation in projects alongside other wine routes.

Furthermore, the incorporation of new partners over the last year reflects the growing interest of the region’s business sector in linking up with a quality tourism product, strengthening the network of experiences that visitors can enjoy around the wine, gastronomy and heritage of the Almansa Wine Route.

Cristina Maldonado, coordinator of the Almansa Wine Route, emphasises that the renewal of the certification ‘is recognition of the joint work of all our partners in recent years. We will continue to look to the future to keep growing and creating quality experiences for those who visit the Almansa Wine Route’.

Commitment to quality wine tourism

With this renewal, the Almansa Wine Route strengthens its position among certified routes, sharing this year’s certification renewal with destinations such as Alicante, Gran Canaria, Montilla-Moriles and Utiel-Requena. The path that now lies ahead focuses on continuing to develop new experiences that will further enhance the quality of wine tourism in our region.
