Ruta del Vino Almansa attended the XXXII General Assembly of ACEVIN held in Cariñena (Zaragoza)

The Almansa Wine Route has been present, for another year, at the XXXII General Assembly of the Spanish Association of Wine Cities (ACEVIN), held from May 20 to 22 in Cariñena (Zaragoza), designated European City of Wine 2025.

Participation of the Almansa Wine Route in the Assembly of ACEVIN 2025

Our coordinator, Cristina Maldonado, represented the Almansa Wine Route at this national meeting, which brought together representatives of the 37 certified routes from all over Spain. This assembly has become one of the benchmark events for the wine tourism sector in Spain, from where the lines and actions to be followed for the development of the sector are proposed at a time of enormous projection for wine tourism. In the case of our route, this attendance confirms our third consecutive presence at ACEVIN, after 2023 and 2024.

During the assembly in Cariñena, the actions carried out in 2024 were evaluated and the key projects for 2025 were presented, highlighting the new Wine Tourism Intelligence System, developed in collaboration with Eurecat Technology Center, and the new marketing portal for wine tourism experiences, both within the framework of the ‘Experiencias Turismo España’ program, financed by Next Generation EU funds.

News and projects to strengthen wine tourism in Spain

In addition, the digital marketing plan to be implemented from 2026 was presented and a new Management Committee of the Wine Routes of Spain was held. The event included cultural activities and visits to emblematic places of the Campo de Cariñena Wine Route, such as the Cariñena Wine Museum and the Railway Interpretation Centre.

The importance of sharing experiences and strengthening wine tourism

Cristina Maldonado stressed the importance “of participating in these meetings to share experiences and strengthen wine tourism in our region. From the Almansa Wine Route, we thank ACEVIN and Rutas del Vino de España for organising this event, which reinforces our commitment to the development of wine tourism at regional, regional and national level”.
